Description

The ABB ACS580-01-046A-4 is a wall mountable general purpose AC drive from the ACS580 series for 380 to 480 V three phase supplies. The variant designation 046A refers to the 46 A nominal output current frame, which is used for pump, fan and conveyor duties in the region of 22 kW heavy duty. The ACS580 includes a built in control panel, choke, EMC filter and Modbus RTU interface, and supports vector and scalar control of induction and permanent magnet motors. It is supplied in an IP21 enclosure as standard with an optional IP55 kit.

Is the ACS580-01-046A-4 a replacement for the ACS550?
Yes. The ACS580 is the successor family to the ACS550 and the same mechanical and electrical guidelines generally apply. Terminal positions differ, so check the installation drawing.
What is the difference between the 01 and the 02 variant?
The 01 variants are wall mounted drives with an IP21 or IP55 enclosure. The 02 variants are cabinet built modules intended for installation inside an enclosure.
Can you supply the drive with a specific fieldbus adapter?
